Upcoming Interior Design Events - IMPORTANT!!! Please read ASAP!

Hi everyone,

As we are nearing the end of the semester, we are packing in a ton of activities so I just wanted to get an e-mail out to remind you to come to the ASID Meeting to learn more about them!!

  • Next ASID Meeting: Wednesday, April 23rd at 1:00 PM.  We're going to have pizza and drinks!!!!!!!!!!!!  You can still attend an ASID Meeting or Skills Workshops even if you haven't participated this semester or year...we just want to meet you and help out in any way we can.  We also want to get some student feedback on the classes you're taking, and discuss any concerns or questions you might have about the program.
    • After the meeting we'll be having our first "Student Skills Workshop" on Rendering.  We'll also be holding more on Drafting and Presentation Board Techniques.  Check the calendar in the hall or come to the ASID Meeting to learn more!
  • ASID Officer Elections:  We are holding the ASID Officer Elections for 2008-2009 next Wednesday, April 23rd at the ASID Meeting.  We need candidates for all of the positions, so please let me know if you're interested EVEN IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND THE MEETING!  You can still run...just e-mail me a small statement on the position you're interested in, and why you should be elected.  We need a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity, Fundraising, and Competitions.  I'm attaching a document listing all of their duties, so please let me know if you're interested ASAP!!  Thanks!!
  • 2008 Interior Design Student Showcase
    • It's that time of year again!  For you to showcase all of your projects that you're proud of and to show the University what Interior Design is all about!
    • Gather your projects that you want to turn in (project boards, renderings, models...anything that can be attached to the wall), fill out an entry form, and leave them in Ayres 101 by THURSDAY, APRIL 24TH - BY THE END OF THE NIGHT.
    • Projects that are chosen will be posted in the BMU on Friday, April 25th.
    • We will divide the projects into categories and select winners in each category.  The winners will receive prizes and certificates, which will be presented at the Showcase Reception/ASID End-of-the-Year Party.  Dates and times will be announced for the end of the year party.
We have a lot more activities set, so e-mail me if you have any questions, and come to the ASID Meeting to see what else we have in store for the end of the year!

See you Wednesday!!

Lindsay
