Job of the Week!

The New York County District Attorney's Office seeks an Interior Designer to work in its Facilities Design Unit. Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist Facilities Design Unit staff in daily activities; meet with various departments/bureaus to finalize/programming and space planning needs.

• Prepare sketches and renderings for presentation and material boards.

• Act as liaison with project architect, furniture vendors and purchasing for ordering, scheduling and coordinating of furniture delivery and installation.

• Prepare project specifications, requisitions and control books; coordinating furniture moves with Operations.

• Research new products and schedule showroom visits with vendors; prepare and maintain furniture inventory database.

• Create design development and construction documents, complete quantity take off's, prepare outline specifications.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience. Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills required. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2005 required (demonstration of proficiency will be part of the interview process).
