MARCH ASID MEETING
I hope you all had a great spring break. Too bad now it is back to school! It's definitely time for our March ASID meeting! So here's the date and some things to look forward talking about:

Wednesday, March 25th
6:30 PM (after CAD) in PAC 261
We will be talking about the Student Career Forum. I have some people lined up to talk about the classes they attended as well as some photos of people's projects from the event! We will also be talking about some workshops we are planning. Michael is planning a beginning sketch up workshop as well as an advanced. I am planning a drafting workshop and trying to nail down a date and time. We will also be discussing some possibilities for the student showcase reception.
WE WILL ALSO BE PAYING DUES ($10). PLEASE BRING THIS WITH YOU TO THE MEETING!

MARCH ASID MEETING
HEY EVERYONE,
I KNOW MANY OF YOU ARE EXPECTING MEETINGS TO HAPPEN THE FIRST WEEK OF EVERY MONTH. IN AN IDEAL WORLD, I WOULD LIKE THAT. BUT I JUST REALIZED THAT IT WAS MARCH. SINCE OUR SPRING BREAK IS IN A WEEK AND HALF AND MANY STUDENTS ARE ATTENDING THE STUDENT CAREER FORUM, I WILL BE PLANNING THE MEETING FOR THE WEDNESDAY AFTER SPRING BREAK. HOPEFULLY THEN WE WILL HAVE SOME MORE UPDATES ABOUT THE THINGS WE TALKED ABOUT LAST MEETING (STUDENT SHOWCASE LOCATION AS WELL AS T-SHIRT BIDS) AND WE CAN HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT THE CAREER FORUM. SINCE I AM NOT ATTENDING, I WOULD LIKE TO SEE HOW IT DIFFERED FROM LAST YEAR. WE ALSO HAVE SOME STUDENTS THAT ENTERED THE COMPETITIONS SO WE WILL HEAR FROM THEM AND SEE THEIR PROJECTS. I APOLOGIZE TO EVERYONE THAT THIS MEETING WILL BE SO LATE BUT IT SEEMS LIKE A HECTIC TIME FOR EVERYONE WHILE TEACHERS SCRAMBLE TO GET THINGS TURNED IN BEFORE BREAK.

WE USUALLY DISPLAY OUR PROJECTS ON THE SECOND FLOOR LOUNGE SPACE IN THE BMU. HOWEVER, LAST YEAR ONE OF OUR PROJECTS GOT DAMAGED. WE SPEND A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY ON OUR PROJECTS AND I THINK WE NEED TO FIND A BETTER LOCATION!
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LOCATION RIGHT NOW. A GALLERY SPACE OF SOME SORT (WHICH IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE). ALL GALLERY SPACES WE'VE CONTACTED SO FAR ARE BOOKED UP FOR A YEAR (OR MORE) IN ADVANCE. SOOOOO... IF ANYONE HAS ANY HOOK UPS WITH GALLERY SPACE, PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!

END OF THE YEAR PARTY AND EVENT CANCELED
SO I went into Ayres today and there was NOTHING in there for the white elephant sale AT ALL and I don't think that people are going to be bringing in BAGS of things on Monday. So I guess we are cancelling the sale since we don't have anything to sell! If anyone still wants to do a baked goods sale, let me know. We can make some money off of that.
BUT we are having an END OF THE YEAR PARTY at TRES HOMBRES on Thursday December 18th at 7:00. COME OUT AND CELEBRATE THE SEMESTER BEING OVER!!
Hopefully next semester we will have more events and we will have more participation!

WHITE ELEPHANT SALE
I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT BREAK. WE HAVE A FEW THINGS THAT WE ARE NEEDING VOLUNTEERS FOR:

- RUN THE SALE (LET ME KNOW DAYS AND TIMES YOU ARE AVAILABLE)
- MAKE POSTERS
- MAKE BAKED GOODS
PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR ITEMS FOR THE SALE IN AYRES 101. IF THE DOOR IS LOCKED, THE ART OFFICE WILL OPEN IT FOR YOU! PLEASE HAVE ALL ITEMS DROPPED OFF BY MONDAY DECEMBER 8TH.

- MAKE BAKED GOODS
PLEASE DROP OFF YOUR ITEMS FOR THE SALE IN AYRES 101. IF THE DOOR IS LOCKED, THE ART OFFICE WILL OPEN IT FOR YOU! PLEASE HAVE ALL ITEMS DROPPED OFF BY MONDAY DECEMBER 8TH.

KEEP IN MIND..
OUR NEXT EVENT IN PLANNING IS A WHITE ELEPHANT SALE AT THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER. I WAS THINKING IT WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO BUY CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR OTHERS. SO WHILE EVERYONE GOES HOME FOR THANKSGIVING, MAYBE BRING BACK A FEW THINGS FOR THE WHITE ELEPHANT SALE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING FOR IT RIGHT NOW. ALSO IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN MAKING BAKED GOODS FOR IT. THOSE ALWAYS SELL. WE WILL ALSO NEED PEOPLE TO MAKE POSTERS! LET ME KNOW IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HELP OUT! DOING A FALL CLEANING AND SUPPORT ASID BY DONATING TO THE WHITE ELEPHANT SALE. (P.S. THE MONEY WE MAKE WILL BE GOING TO OUR END OF THE YEAR PARTY AT AN OFF-CAMPUS LOCATION!)
